On September 28, 2024, The Lithuanian Professionals of British Columbia held its first business forum and the first of its kind in Canada. “The Vancouver Lithuanian Business Forum, From Vilnius to Vancouver: Building Business Bridges,” brought together Lithuanian professionals and business leaders from Western Canada and the United States for an exclusive one-day event at Simon Fraser University’s elegant Segal Building to exchange the latest ideas of innovation and bilateral business growth.

The event opened with a virtual greeting from Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania, followed by Ambassador of Lithuania to Canada, Darius Skusevičius, who spoke about what distinguished Lithuania as a dynamic Baltic economy.

Panel discussions followed on Technology, Life Sciences and Import/Export. Attendees listened to an exchange of ideas on topics as diverse as AI and the Internet of Things (IOT), medical tourism between Canada and Lithuania, and the business climate for Canadians doing business in Lithuania.
